My heart is broken

On the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady, my dear husband David died suddenly in our home this morning. I am being buoyed by my family, friends and the lovely people I supported in the past.  Please pray for the repose of his soul and the healing of our family. Hail Mary Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

I’m so terribly sorry for your loss.

  2. I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I recently found your blog through a friend who shared with me the beautiful and wonderful things you do for families who lose a child. Our first son was stillborn at almost 39 weeks in 2010. I have been truly touched by your heart, kindness, and strength and pray that you find more strength in the difficult days ahead. Will hold you, and your husband, in my heart.

    Tammy,
My prayers for you tonight are shaped like tears…
Lori posted your blog on FB, and my heart ached for you as I read your words.

May the comfort you’ve given so tenderly to hurting hearts come back a thousand fold as you grieve your tremendous loss. May you feel God’s presence with each breath.
With deep respect, and a hug,
    Kathie Kobler

  6. Dear Tammy
You kindly allowed us to re-print one of your blogs in the August edition of our newsletter. Our prayers go out to you on the death of your husband. At times like these, one would think that for those of us who deal with death every day that it would be easier to find the right words, but there are no words. Dear kind Nurse Tammy,

I found your blog today through a link in the Still Standing online magazine and have read my way through every entry in the archives, and I am devastated for you in reading this most recent entry. I am praying for you all. I am so very sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you.

  11. I worked with Dave closely with the rest of the 782 Gear group. Throughout the time I spent with him in person, and on conference calls and the like, I always walked away with a smile. Dave had a unique sense of humor that I loved.

Straight up, Dave was truly a nice guy. There was never a time that any of my colleagues in the industry ever said anything about Dave but that he was an awesome guy and great to work with. I learned a lot from Dave; he had a distinctly progressive view that forced me to think differently than I was used to, and the things that I learned from Dave continue to help me in business today.

I am truly saddened to hear of Dave’s passing, and my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I won’t forget the fun times that Dave, Erik, Brian and I had up in my neck of the woods in New Hampshire, in Washington, and elsewhere.
